The area for observing is at the Nordic Ski Base parking lot at the end of Cuddy Valley road (forest route 9N24). Take Frazier Mountain Park Rd to Cuddy Valley Road and bear right. Stay on Cuddy Valley road for about five miles where it splits with Mil Potrero Hwy. Bear left to stay on Cuddy Valley Road (follow signs to Mt. Pinos). Continue for about eight miles to the top.
