The AVAC has nearly 100 members with varied astronomy backgrounds. Some members are experienced amateur astronomers, while others are just starting. Some enjoy visual observing while others try their hand at astrophotography. All members receive the DSO, our monthly newsletter. As an added benefit, subscription to Sky & Telescope and Astronomy magazines are available to members at substantial discounts. Membership in the AVAC also gets you membership in the Astronomical League and their quarterly newsletter, The Reflector.

The Club has resources for members wishing to learn the night sky. Loaner telescopes are available for members without a scope. The Library is stocked with a great assortment of books and tools for the amateur astronomer, which can be borrowed at any time.
